The city of Bridian lies in the far south of Ostia, the kingdom of the West, in a region largely known as the Wildlands. It is rests of the banks of the Peacemir river that flows down past the Evertime cliffs to empty into the Aear. Bridian is full of merchants, farmers, and other tradesmen, and while predominantly human, they also have some fractional mix of other races, including both elves, dwarves, halflings, and half-breeds.
Bridian Market
Older than the city itself, the marketplace of Bridian began when it was but a small town, and remains the heart of the city today. Here some older shops stand on the outskirts serving their wares, but in the central square, hawkers set up each morning to offer up their wares, from delicious foods to trinkets and tradegoods.
The Mill House
Built on the bones of an old grindmill, The Mill House (named so after what the original foundation of the inn had once been, with the waterwheel that still exists in the dried-up streambed) is the penultimate inn of comfort quality in Bridian, featuring delicious food, warm rooms, and soft beds. A carriagehouse and stable around the back allows for the storage of vehicles and mounts, and the common room is the envy of every other smaller inn and tavern in the city. Run by Henry and Mary, two former urchins who fell in love, married, and made good for themselves.
Darkluck Orphanage
The origins of this large home on the outskirts of Bridian are many and varied. It was once a farm house, thus the large barn structure on the right side. Others claim that it once served as a thieves' guild, the home serving as a tavern to provide a cover of legitimacy. An Anduillan prince's hunting lodge to some others. Whatever it once was, it now serves as an orphanage in the depths of a pine wood on the south road down toward Evertime.
Evertime Harbor Inn
Quite a distance south from the city of Bridian lies a small harbor nestled on the shores of the Aear. Beaches of pristine white sand form those shores, while cliffs bank to the east and west, and the Darkluck Forest fills the space between the harbor and Bridian to the north. A two story Tavern sat off to the east of the beach, an extension of a pier ran from the door that out over the water and then split into two L shapes for small fishing boats as well as some medium sized cargo ships. Very large vessels would have to anchor further out in the harbor. Dotting the beach were several small cabin bungalos available for rent, and firepits were placed on the beach further out where crews could cook and sleep outside.
Evertime Cliffs
The Cliffs of Evertime rise up over the beaches, ocean, and nearby forest, white and grey stone backing to the Aean ocean, and riddled with caves and fissures. These caves sometimes provide shelter to less desirables in the region - people or creatures seeking refuge from Bridian or even Anduillan who technically rules over this region of Ostia. The caves once provided homes to more fearsome creatures, but most of these have been cleared out over the years, leaving the most common creatures making homes here to be birds - seagulls and osprey nest in the upper regions of the cliffs.
Darkluck Forest
This forest has a dark history where the wood was known as a strategic chokepoint where ambushes were often laid by rebels against the Anduillan efforts coming down out of the mountains to the north, thus the origin of the name. In more recent times, however, theis quite dense forest consisting of pine, oak, and maple is more peaceful, providing shelter and comfort from the weather.
