Lost to legends and myth, there is a world of lost history to be found in the fallen kingdoms of the east. Was it once a mighty kingdom, or several kingdoms at various points in history? There are clues to be found, but the ruins left behind are inhabited by new residents - many of whom do not taken incursions lightly. The lands of the east are well known to be unwelcome to civilized peoples, and many who dare to tread here never return.
Asandir
The legendary dunes of Asandir are said to bury anything that comes to exist there, and archaeologists from the college do not dispute this. The remains of an entire ancient race that once dominated this region was discovered buried here, a set of mysterious pyraminds and city ruins uncovered after being lost for untold millenium. Graves and tombs have been unsealed that were full of riches - and death. Soon after the tomb of an ancient king was cracked open, the rise of a protective new order of tall humanoids appeared and chased off much of the elven, human, and dwarven investigations into the places. Mysterious blends of dogs, cats, birds, and other creatures melded with human forms wielding strange powers, but they seem limited to the sites which were uncovered. Visit Asandir!
Ceratoa Region
More barren than the wastes of Qoth is the Cerotoa Region, a land ravaged by a seemingly eternal volcano bent on destroying everything caught between the mountains and the Bay of Daggers to the east. Only creatures which have adapted to such inhospitable ways of life can flourish here, for there is little of societal interest left that has not been burned away. The Cinder Mountains that form the western border of the region are covered in little more than char and ash, and the mighty Cerotoa volcano burns day and night, flowing lava in perpetual rivers throughout the flatlands at the base of the mountains. Explore the fallen Cerotoa!
Hikitaw Jungle
The northern half of the eastern continent is covered by lush greenery, a wide expanse of vibrant exotic vegetation called Hikitaw, an astonishing beautiful jungle equally dangerous and deadly. This wild land is far from being considered a civilized place; like most of the fallen eastern kingdom, it is extensely unknown, uncharted, and untamed. Scarce are the groups of adventurers and treasure hunters that venture inside the jungle seeking for gold or ancient relics, as almost everything alive beneath the shade of the verdant trees, from the hugest reptile predators to the tiniest fungi, is either poisonous or hungry. Hikitaw is populated by sentient races too, mostly categorized as monsters by the rest of Eluaria, small undeveloped tribes of diverse creatures, from snakefolk to lizardmen, birdmen and some amphibians too, races are widely diverse and exotic and they share a zealous territorial behavior, protecting their land with little more than claws and teeth. Do you dare to proceed into the depths of the jungle?
Qoth
The inhospitable wastelands of Qoth are home to a surprising number of 'monster' species to be found in Eluaria, but since there are few means of interacting between these tribes and the 'civilized' nations of Eluaria, it is unclear as to how some of these creatures venture out into the rest of the world. No ships of any quality are known to trade with any of the tribes of Qoth, and what few portals that are to be found are of a one-way variety - one desperate or foolish enough to want to come here can do so, but you will likely need to find another method of travel to return. Qoth is harsh and uninviting to all but the most durable of races, with searing heat over sun-baked earth and packed clay, crevices, mountains, and plateaus. Members of civilized society dare not tread here.
