Corol Ambo, the Rolling Hills, are home to the various species of elves who prefer the life and beauty to be found in the hills, mountains, and rockier climes of the world. Sinda, the grey elves, make up most of the population of elves to be found here, but some number of other types of fae can also be encountered here, including fairies and gnomes. These hills and foothills have been cultured in such a way as to be indistinguishable from natural works - and perhaps they were worked in a natural method - the elves, like the dwarves, do not often share the knowledge of their abilities. Statues, pillars and columns, and other such locations can be found scattered all over, sometimes organized, but more often not. It is a quite, open place for the most part, and the elves roam freely.
Amun Lita - The Dancing Hills
The Last Steading
High in the elven hills of Corol Ambo is a wide open plain where the Gray Elves have established a small village with services, supplies, and places of rest. The Gray Elves are mostly nomadic in nature, but even wandering folk must have a place to return to, and this serves for many. Some few elves and gnomes can be found living here on a more permanent basis, providing services to those who come and go.
Emyn Ael - Where the Mountains meet the Lake
Here is another location in the mountains favored by the elves who wander Corol Ambo - Emyn Ael, Where the Mountains meet the Lake. The mountains end here with steep clifs in an abrupt fashion, providing otherworldly views and a spectacular waterfall that the elves say has a music all its own. There are narrow steps deftly crafted down the cliff face for people to climb between the top and the bottom, but the trek takes several hours for even the most skilled climbers, and longer for those with less ability. At the bottom of the falls are several small homes and shops, including a small inn that caters mostly to the elven folk who wander the hills.
Morikinda - the Dark Splinter
Literally, 'Dark Splinter', Morikinda is a flame-blackened ruined tower in the northern hills of Corol Ambo, remants of a dark history that few elves will speak of willingly. Whatever once dwelled there was almost certainly evil, because the dark aura of this place lingers still. The grasses here are darkened and lifeless, and naught but spiders and other small creatures such as rats and scorpions seems able to persist in the immediate area surrounding the burned out husk of the tower. Perhaps dark spirits linger there, or some foul magic has tainted the land, but regardless, few elves will tread here.
Da Huine - Into Darkness
This dark hole that delves down into the earth is known to the elves as Da Huine, or in common, Into Darkness. While the elven kingdom forbids by law all contact and trade with the underworld races, and the dark elves in particular, this enormous cave still provides the link between the dark race of elves and their surface-dwelling cousins, though few who walk in the light will dare tread this path. It is buried deep in the mountains, an unmarked crevice that radiates darkness and discomfort, even from a distance. Even without going in, lowly-murmuring voices can be heard emanating from the mouth of this portal, though what the words are is hard if not impossible to discern.
