Horibund is not so much a city as it is a facade - this wooden-walled place is home to almost no one, but is used as a meeting place for anyone who seeks trade with the barbarians who roam the nearby forests and plains of the pennisula. Within the wooden walls can be found a large number of buildings that serve business to those who need it, but the town is usually quite vacant except for the solstices. It is then that the tribes gather her to celebrate these special dates as one group before slowly dispersing once more into the wilderness where they live their lives.
The Bear Hall
Made of baked clay bricks and long, sturdy timbers, the Bear Hall would amount to a massive hall or castle for most towns or cities. The walls on all but one side are open, and the roof is largely made up of tanned bear hides suspended on oiled ropes, thus giving the hall its name. New hides are added at each gathering in a series of formal rituals when the passage into maturity for barbarians is recognized by the community. During the solstice events, here huge banquets are held with feasting and drinking and storytelling, but otherwise this great hall generally stands empty.
The Graven Hoof
The major exception to the vacancies in Horibund would be the Graven Hoof, another massive building that serves multiple purposes - trading post, inn, tavern, message hub, and healer. The Graven Hoof largely serves the barbarian population of the region, but will not turn away visitors from afar unless they are accused by one of the clans as defilers of the lands.
The Tantric Brothel
Also known as the temple of Tymira, the Tantric Brothel is the center of Worship for the Saint Tymira. Nestled just outside the perimeter of the walls of Horibund on the shores of the Sundered Bay, it features both feast hall and lounge for travelers and guests alike.
Constructed from carved stone and lumber from the local forests, the interior is intended to soothe tired bodies and energize the soul. The first floor is dedicated to uniting all walks of life in merriment and good spirits, while the second floor is reserved for tantric ritual and more mundane pleasures.
